Owen Wilson spotted on "drinking binge"

Owen Wilson has been spotted on a drinking binge at a US hotel, reports claim.

The actor was admitted to hospital in August after attempting to commit suicide by slashing his wrists and taking an overdose of pills.

He has since avoided the Hollywood party scene but was seen drinking heavily at the venue in Santa Monica earlier this month.

Hotel guest Jamie Brandt told Life and Style Weekly: "Owen arrived with a friend about 10pm and requested the private library room. He looked like he'd already been drinking. He was stumbling when he came in and literally falling down when he left."

Another witness said: "They had bottle service and were drinking vodka. Owen got so drunk, he stumbled when he went to leave. He could hardly walk."

Wilson's spokesman denied the claims, insisting that the actor had only had one drink.

Wilson and three friends reportedly returned to the same hotel a week later, where a witness claimed the 38-year-old ordered Patron Silver tequila on the rocks "and was drinking steadily the whole time".
