Last member of Sinatra's Rat Pack dies

Rat Pack member Joey Bishop has died at the age of 89.
The comedian, who was the group's last surviving member, died of multiple causes at his home in California on Wednesday, his publicist Warren Cowan revealed.
Bishop was born Joseph Abraham Gottlieb in the Bronx in 1918. He began his career as a stand-up comic before making the move to film and television.
Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack shot to fame in the early 1960s, performing at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas and appearing in hit films such as Ocean's Eleven and Sergeants 3. Aside from Sinatra and Bishop, it included Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin and Peter Lawford.
Bishop was a frequent guest on talk shows, game shows and comedy shows, starring in two different series called The Joey Bishop Show from 1961 to 1965 and in the late '60s.
His wife Sylvia Ruzga died from lung cancer in 1999. The couple had one son.
