Perfumes launched by celebrities are struggling to sell, an online retailer has reported.
Among those who have recently put their names to fragrances are David and Victoria Beckham, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Brook and Big Brother's Chanelle Hayes.
However, owners of halfpriceperfumes.co.uk have found they are struggling to sell compared to "retro" 1980s perfumes like Obsession and Jazz.
Demand for the old-style scents increased by 37% last month.
Jason Zemmel, who runs the website, said: "We’re not sure if it’s nostalgia, a full-on Eighties revival or young people emulating their parents, but our sales of Eighties scents shot up massively.
"The most popular female fragrances are Charlie, Obsession and Fendi, while Jazz now tops the most popular male scent. Meanwhile, sales of celebrity scents are falling – some are selling less than half of what they were doing a year ago."
He added: "It seems the calibre of the celeb has declined."
