Winehouse: "I'm very insecure"

Amy Winehouse has claimed that insecurities over her looks are what fuel her erratic behaviour and alcohol consumption.

Winehouse also reveals in her new DVD I Told You I Was In Trouble that her extravagant hair is a way of coping with her lack of confidence.

She says: "I'm quite an insecure person. I'm very insecure about the way I look. I mean, I'm a musician, I'm not a model. The more insecure I felt, the more I'd drink."

The singer adds: "And to Tracey Trash, who does my hair, I'd be like, 'Bigger! Bigger!' - like the more insecure I feel, the bigger my hair has to be."

Darcus Beese, who works for Winehouse's record label, has claimed that the singer plays concerts believing the audience hate her.

He commented: "She walks onstage thinking that everyone thinks she's a d******d and thinks she's s***."
