Brand challenges for London Mayor

Russell Brand has threatened to challenge Ken Livingstone for the role of London Mayor.

The comedian insists that if enough people agree to vote for him on an online petition he will run for the post, according to The Ham & High.

Brand claims that, if the petition gains one million signatures, he will stand for the Brand Spanking New London Party, set up by George Weiss.

The party's manifesto claims that they will replace cash with "wonders" and "gasps". There would be 100 gasps to the wonder.

Brand commented: "I’m not standing unless I can win."
