Blanchett enjoys cross-dressing parts

Cate Blanchett has admitted that she does not mind having to cross-dress as a man for her acting roles.

The Australian actress donned men's clothes for upcoming movie I'm Not There, to play musician Bob Dylan. She has also now signed up to star as a man again in a stage version of The War of the Roses in Sydney.

Blanchett revealed she enjoys changing gender, saying: "I see nothing strange about it being a cross-dressing production. In Shakespeare's day men played all the roles, and I think we can learn so much about each other if we swap around now and again."
