Scott-Lee forced to be "bold" with Shentall

Lisa Scott-Lee has revealed that she was forced to make the initial move on her husband, Hear'Say singer Johnny Shentall.

The former Steps star - who is pregnant with the couple's first child - said they "instantly had a connection" when he auditioned as a dancer for one of the band's tours.

She told Wedding TV's Celebrity Brides Unveiled: "We were in a studio auditioning male dancers and it was all very giggly. Jonny entered the room and I know this sounds corny, but it all went into slow motion and I thought 'Wow he is hot!'"

But she had to take matters into her own hands when Shentall's dancing contract prevented him from fraternising with the band. She said: "I had to be quite bold and after weeks and weeks of flirting I made a move on the tour bus and snogged him!"

He later proposed during a dinner cruise on the Thames and Scott-Lee spent the next two years planning the August 2004 wedding.

She added: "The secret to a happy marriage is to have the love, the friendship, the communication and to have fun and to love each other's company. We work a lot so we have to make sure when we are together it's special time. We don’t have to try - it just works."
