Dermot O'Leary tops ideal partner poll

X Factor host Dermot O'Leary is the man that most British women would like to swap their partner for, according to a new poll.

O'Leary beat off competition from Brad Pitt and David Beckham in a survey which was carried out by the Wedding TV channel.

32% of the 1,000 women who were quizzed named Dermot as their ideal partner, while Pitt and Beckham trailed behind in second and third place with 21% and 12% respectively.

Wedding TV's Claire Thrift said: "Brad and Becks may have the chiselled looks women love, but Dermot is a real cheeky chappie who's not afraid to show his more sensitive side. It seems women throughout the UK have really taken him into their hearts as well as their TV sets."

Prince William received 9% of the votes, while Prime Minister Gordon Brown was named by 5% of the participants.
