
Daniel Boys, a finalist from the BBC's Any Dream Will Do, is to head a cast change for West End musical Avenue Q.
Boys competed against 11 other men on the show to win the part of Joseph in a revival of stage show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
He missed out on the prize but has been selected to be one of four new cast members to join Avenue Q, in which he will take on the roles of Princeton and Rod.
Current cast members Julie Atherton, Simon Lipkin, Sion Lloyd, Jon Robyns and Jennifer Tanarez will give their final performances on December 1 after a year and a half on the show.
Replacing them on December 3 will be Boys along with Rebecca Lock, who will star as Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut.
Meanwhile, Christopher Fry will join the cast in the role of Brian, and actor Mark Goldthorp will take on Trekkie Monster and Nicky at the Nöel Coward Theatre.
Current cast members Mary Doherty and Delroy Atkinson will continue with their parts of Mrs T/ Bad Idea Bear and Gary Coleman.
A new cast member will be announced to take over the part of Christmas Eve shortly.
The musical has been a success since it was launched in London in June 2006.
