Pete Doherty is back in rehab

Pete Doherty checked himself back into a rehab centre yesterday, it has been revealed.

The Babyshambles frontman has reportedly been taking heroin for the last two weeks and was shamed when he was videoed injecting himself with the drug just hours after vowing to give it up.

He apologised for the relapse this week, claiming that it was a "stupid, stupid action for which I feel only shame".

But a friend of the singer claimed he had been taking heroin for two weeks or more on the quiet, telling the Mirror: "Pete first used the drug again after getting back to his home after a London court appearance at the end of October. He's been at it for a while but has kept it all on the quiet."

Doherty has checked into the Clouds rehabilitation centre in Wiltshire.
