Lopez confirms she is pregnant

Jennifer Lopez has confirmed she is pregnant with her first child, after weeks of speculation and denials.

The singer dismissed reports she was expecting, despite her designer Roberto Cavalli admitting she had a baby bump last month. Speculation also arose when she cancelled a couple of concerts.

But Lopez has now publicly admitted that she is pregnant with husband Marc Anthony, sharing the news with fans during a concert in Miami last night.

She informed the 10,000 people in attendance at Florida's American Airlines Arena: "Marc and I are expecting."

Throughout the show J.Lo joked about the news, holding her stomach and saying: "You don't mind if I catch my breath for a minute?"

Anthony claimed that he was unaware that his wife was going to speak out about the pregnancy, saying "I didn't know she was going to talk", and then bent down to kiss her stomach.

Lopez claimed she waited until the end of the tour to speak out about the baby because she did not want people to worry about her health. It has not been confirmed when the child is due.
