Dennis Quaid has become a father to twin babies after a surrogate mother gave birth to a boy and girl.
New arrivals Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace were conceived with the help of an unnamed woman, using sperm and an egg from the actor and his wife Kimberly.
The couple, who married in 2004, told People magazine: "God has definitely blessed us."
Quaid, 53, was previously married to actress Meg Ryan, with whom he has 17-year-old son Jack Henry. They divorced in 2001 after ten years.
