Scherzinger: 'Guys used to ignore me'

Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger has claimed that she wasn't popular with guys when she was young.

The popstar said that boys ignored her until high school and that she wasn't confident about her looks until she started making music.

She told Maxim: "I wasn't very popular. Guys just wouldn't go out with me. It wasn't until I got to high school that I began to blossom.

"Even though I was shy, uncomfortable and lanky, my music brought me out of myself."

Scherzinger split up with her lover Talan Torriero in August, arguing that she wanted to focus on her solo career rather than a relationship.
