Kate Hudson has dismissed speculation that she is romantically involved with Heath Ledger.
The actress denied reports that the pair were seen "kissing and making out" at a New York inn last week.
Her spokesperson said the claims were "wildly exaggerated", telling PageSix: "This is absolutely untrue. They ran into each other and chatted briefly, but that was the extent of it."
Hudson, who ended her relationship with Dax Shepherd last month, was thought to be dating Orlando Bloom after they were spotted kissing at a Halloween party. Her divorce from Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson was finalised in October after six years of marriage.
Ledger split from Brokeback Mountain co-star Michelle Williams in September. The couple were engaged and have a two-year-old daughter, Matilda.
