Holden finds dead body while out jogging

Amanda Holden found a dead body lying by a canal while she was out jogging yesterday, it has been revealed.

The Wild At Heart actress was exercising in Richmond, South London with her personal trainer when they stumbled across the man, who had a cord round his neck.

Holden ran to look for help and got a canal worker to call the emergency services, while her trainer stayed with the corpse. It was later revealed that the man had committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree before falling.

A source said: "Adrenaline kicked in and Amanda just did what she had to do, calmly. She was surprised by how well she dealt with it and didn’t panic at all.

"But reality hit home and she realised what an awful thing she witnessed. It was a cold morning and the man had been dead some time."

Holden spoke of the incident, saying: "My overriding feeling is of sadness for him and his family. I just feel so sorry this happened."
