Westlife star Kian Egan has revealed that he is planning to propose to his long-term girlfriend, actress Jodi Albert, in the near future.

The singer, who has dated Albert for the last four years, was rumoured to have already wed her in secret.

But Egan has insisted that he has not yet popped the question to the former Hollyoaks star, but that he will do soon.

Egan told RTÉ that he would propose to Albert after the New Year, saying: "I don't think I will do it at Christmas. Not that it's corny, I think it's lovely to do it at Christmas time - that's what Nicky did. It's just that I have a different plan and it has nothing to do with Christmas."
