De Rossi: It's "selfish" not to adopt

Actress Portia de Rossi has claimed that it would be "selfish" of her not to adopt a child at some point.
The Ally McBeal star claims that she and her girlfriend Ellen DeGeneres are keen to start a family together.
During an interview in the US, she said: "There are times when I think I'd be really selfish not to adopt a child.
"It would be great to share our lives with somebody, a little child that really needs a home.
"But it depends when you ask us. A few months ago, we were thinking about it. I wouldn't want to say never, but at this point, it's not something I think we're going to do."
De Rossi added that the pair had considered a sperm donor but couldn't decide who would carry the child.
She said: "We would like to have children some day. Ellen would carry," but DeGeneres responded: "That will never happen!"
