Jon Bon Jovi is contemplating running for the post of New Jersey governor, it has been reported.
According to US reports, the singer has kept his home in Red Bank so he can return and run for office, despite recently moving to New York.
A source said: "He is interested in running for governor. That is why he kept the house and performs at fundraisers for Democrats like Al Gore.
"He has also hired PR guru Ken Sunshine, who used to work for former mayor David Dinkins."
Bon Jovi's representative has denied the reports, commenting: "Jon has been approached many times about running for office.
"His day job is going too well, and this way he can keep the house in Red Bank."
