Eminem's mum backs his new girlfriend

Eminem's mother has said that she is pleased with his new girlfriend Marni Bright.

The rapper's mother, Debbie Nelson, confirmed that the 35-year-old musician is currently in a relationship and she is content with his choice.

She also revealed that the hip-hop star is desperate to find someone who loves him and isn't interested in his wealth.

She told Life & Style: "Marshall (Eminem) needs someone who loves him for himself and not just for the fame and money."

Nelson admitted that she was still worried that Bright's relationship with her son may go the same way as his ex-wife Kim's.

She added: "As long as Marni doesn't turn out to be anything like Kim - who caused him nothing but heartache - I'm all for her. All I want is for him to be happy."
