David: 'Bo' Selecta!' was killing me

Craig David has revealed that he struggled to deal with the jokes about him on Bo' Selecta!.

The singer says that the show, which featured a caricature of him with an over-sized head, a strong Yorkshire accent and a pet kestrel called Kes, made him feel like the world was against him.

David told The Sun: "I played along with it, I can take a joke, so I went on the show. But it was killing me. This guy has me as a caricature, is ripping the p*** out of me.

"When you’ve got people shouting at you in the street, people in my face telling me this and that about sketches from the show - it was like me against the world.

"It stopped people taking me seriously."
