Gellar takes on husband's surname

Sarah Michelle Gellar has changed her surname to Prinze five years after marrying her husband.

The actress has taken on Freddie Prinze Jr's name to mark the couple's fifth wedding anniversary.

A source told Us magazine: "She officially changed her name to Sarah Michelle Prinze in honour of the occasion.

"On their anniversary, she showed [Freddie] her new driver's licence. It was so sweet."

The couple met while filming 1997 horror movie I Know What You Did Last Summer and tied the knot in Mexico five years later.

Gellar, 30, recently ruled out the possibility of starting a family, saying: "You can't be selfish and have a child. Right now I want to live my life and have fun. I want to go sit in my Jacuzzi and drink wine all night."

She added: "I love to go wild in New York and go dancing until five in the morning!"
