Katie Melua has slammed Amy Winehouse, Pete Doherty and Kate Moss for "glamorising" drug taking and claims she gets "angry" when she hears about them.
The singer claimed that she has had enough of the trio getting so much coverage, because her doctor father has impressed upon her how dangerous drug addiction can become.
Melua said: "My dad always told me horror stories about drugs and overdosing, so it makes me angry that people like Amy Winehouse, Pete Doherty and Kate Moss are glamorised for their behaviour."
The two singers and the supermodel have all faced public controversy over their drug taking and spells in rehab clinics.
Melua also spoke out about Winehouse, who once called her music "s**t", asking her to not be two-faced. She said: "We'd never met when she made that comment, but we did afterwards and she was really nice to me.
"All I would say is, 'If you're going to be mean, do it to my face.'"
