Langham: 'I'm not a paedophile'

Chris Langham has insisted that he is not a paedophile during his first interview since being released from jail.

Langham was released from prison last week after being found guilty of downloading child porn earlier this year.

In an interview with Sky News, the actor admitted he was "wrong" to look at the images but denied accusations he was a paedophile.

He said: "There is an assumption that if you look at images like this, therefore you must have a sexual interest in children and it's an odd logic because one of the reasons I wanted to write about it [was that] I passionately care about the welfare of children."

The actor revealed that he had feared he would never work in the TV industry again following his arrest.

However, he claims to have already been contacted about shows and added that he would take "the right" role if it came along.
