Lionel reveals Nicole's baby is a boy

Lionel Richie has revealed that his daughter Nicole is pregnant with a baby boy.

The Simple Life star and singer Joel Madden are expecting their first child together but they have so far declined to confirm what sex their child is.

Richie's father told OK! magazine: "Nicole is having a boy. She even has a few names picked out."

The couple's son is due on New Year's Eve and they plan to marry next year.

Last week Richie and Madden held a Wizard of Oz-themed baby shower to celebrate the pregnancy and they donated all of the presents to 100 expecting mothers who are less fortunate than themselves.
