Diana Ross's father dies aged 87

Diana Ross has become the latest celebrity to mourn the loss of a parent this month.

She announced his death while performing a sold-out show in Los Angeles, explaining that he had passed away in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 87.

Towards the end of the concert Ross informed the audience of her father's death and dedicated her next song 'I Love You' to him.

Other celebrities that have mourned the death of a parent recently include Kanye West whose mother passed away last Monday, Dancing With The Stars contestant Marie Osmond, actress Jane Seymour and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, whose mother died earlier this week.
