Cheryl tells Ashley to enjoy time off

Cheryl Cole has told her footballer husband Ashley Cole to get over England's defeat to Croatia on Wednesday night and enjoy the extra time off he will get as a result.

The Girls Aloud singer's partner was left out of the game because of an injury, and due to the 3-2 result he will not be required to play in next summer's European Championships tournament.

But Cheryl has admitted she is looking forward to spending more time with Cole, telling Radio 1: "I tell him to get over it and move on because at least now we can go on holiday early.

"That went down like a lead balloon, but I'm pleased we can go on holiday next summer."

She added: "He's a Chelsea player so he's got to think about playing for them now and get over England losing."
