Jessica Simpson regrets Nick Lachey split

Jessica Simpson regrets her divorce from Nick Lachey, a family friend has claimed.

The singer-turned-actress split from Lachey in 2005, but according to her pals she stills pines after the former boyband star.

A source told Us: "There are definitely parts of her that regret breaking up with Nick now."

They also claimed that Simpson spent what would have been her fifth anniversary to Lachey "looking through old photo albums that she made when she was with Nick...she said she was just being 'girlie,' but she was definitely sombre".

Lachey has been dating US TV star Vanessa Minnillo for 18 months.
