Robbie Williams will offer his ex-manager Nigel Martin-Smith an apology in court over the lyrics to his song 'The 90s'.

The track, which appeared on Williams' 2006 LP Rudebox, alleged that Martin-Smith failed to give Take That their correct tour payments.

He re-recorded the track once Martin-Smith began legal proceedings.

Williams will face a hearing at London's High Court tomorrow and is expected to pay out a six-figure sum in damages and legal costs.

Martin-Smith told the Manchester Evening News: "Robbie has agreed to make a public apology and will pay damages. That will be the end of the matter."

The music mogul also claimed that if Williams had met him face-to-face there would have been a chance to reduce the damages.
