Judd suffers appendicitis during shoot

Ashley Judd suffered from appendicitis while she was shooting her new movie in a hospital in Canada.

The actress was taken ill and collapsed on the set of Helen in Vancouver at the Ridge Meadows Hospital.

But she was saved from the potentially fatal condition because she was immediately admitted into the medical facility where she had been filming.

Judd underwent emergency surgery to remove the inflamed appendix, causing the producers to halt filming of the movie.

A source told the National Enquirer: "Luckily, the cast and crew were filming at a real hospital, so when paramedics arrived, they simply put Ashley on a stretcher and wheeled her into an operating room nearby."
