Barton wants to be David Attenborough

Mischa Barton has revealed that she wants to be reincarnated as veteran wildlife broadcaster Sir David Attenborough.

The 21-year-old, who played Marissa Cooper in The OC, said she would have pursued a career in documentaries if her acting dreams had fallen through.

She said: "I haven't met him, but that's who I want to be reincarnated as. I think he's fantastic. Now that's something I would definitely have gone into if the acting hadn't come up."

She also hinted that a new direction could still be on the cards, saying: "Animal documentaries, all that stuff, I'm addicted to all of it. As soon as I hit my 30s, I should change my career entirely to that."

Barton recently said she wants to start producing films as well as acting in them because she is worried about the shortage of decent roles available to her.
