Spears misses court-ordered questioning

Britney Spears has missed a grilling about her alleged drug abuse because she was too ill to attend court.

The singer was scheduled to be questioned by ex-husband Kevin Federline's lawyers in LA as part of the couple's high-profile custody battle over their two sons.

But his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said: "I was told of a general [medical] condition, and [Britney] felt she couldn't attend."

Her friend Sam Lufti told People: "She's sick, both physically and high anxiety. Millions of press outside. It's too much."

However, Spears will have to give her deposition at some point in the future. Kaplan told Metro: "She's going to show at a later date. I have to evaluate that with my client."
