Brian McFadden wants his children back

Brian McFadden has told family members that he is determined to win custody of his two children.

The former Westlife singer will go head-to-head with ex-wife Kerry Katona in a court battle for their daughters Molly, six, and Lilly-Sue, four, next year. He has reportedly told his loved ones that Kerry will keep hold of the girls "over my dead body".

McFadden will set up a permanent base in London with his new fiancée Delta Goodrem next year. The couple's plans to do so have been delayed because they are currently in Australia supporting Delta's mother Lea, who is suffering from breast cancer.

"It's taken a while for Delta to get used to the idea of being a stepmum," a source told Now magazine, "because she felt she was too young. But her outlook on marriage and kids has changed recently since the bitter divorce of her own parents."

Brian and Delta may be unable to have children of their own because the chemotherapy and radiation treatment Goodrem received during her own cancer battle could have caused infertility.
