Doherty to run London Marathon?

Pete Doherty has started getting fit so he can run the London Marathon, say reports.

The Babyshambles singer has been spotted jogging in Wiltshire with his former landlord Ralph Bernard and has allegedly begun training for the famous 26-mile race.

A source told the Mirror: "Ralph knocked on Pete's door one day and they went for a run. Despite being completely out of shape, Pete enjoyed it and he's been out again and again.

"He thinks that running is a great way to get back in shape - especially after piling on the pounds in rehab.

"He knows that people will be surprised by his efforts to be healthier but he really wants to turn over a new leaf."

A spokesperson for Doherty commented: "There is some truth to this - you never know what could happen."

Doherty has also reportedly started doing press-ups and begun meditating to help improve his health.
