Coleen McLoughlin and Wayne Rooney have announced that they will be getting married in June next year.
The WAG has been engaged to childhood sweetheart Rooney since 2003 when she was just 17. The pair chose next summer as their wedding date after England failed to qualify for Euro 2008.
Rooney told Hello magazine: "For a while we couldn’t make any plans because I didn’t know whether I would be playing in Euro 2008 – but when we failed to qualify, as devastating as that was, we were able to come up with some firm dates.
"Had England got through to the tournament then we would have married later on in the summer but that meant we wouldn’t have had a honeymoon. So I guess there is some upside to it!"
An exact date and venue has not yet been confirmed but McLoughlin has visited a number of possible locations in France and Italy and plans to look in Ireland and England.
The pair also revealed that they want a Roman Catholic wedding.
