Gest rushed to hospital with chest pains

David Gest has been rushed to hospital after he started experiencing chest pains and respiratory problems in the early hours of this morning.

The music producer started to feel ill at his home in London and was taken to a nearby private hospital to receive treatment.

A spokesperson for the I'm A Celebrity... star said: "David is stable and receiving the best medical attention. We are awaiting a further update from doctors."

Gest's illness comes within days of his ex-wife Liza Minelli collapsing after a concert in Sweden last week.
