Smith: 'Fitness dictates my life'

Will Smith has claimed that his physical fitness dictates whether he is happy in life.

The I Am Legend actor said that the state of his body was essential to all his relationships and his ability to cope with the rigours of his job.

Smith said: "I feel like everything in your life begins with physical conditioning. I love eating sweets and stuff like that.

"But I feel like the quality of my parenting is based on my physical condition and the quality of all my interactions in life start in being in great physical condition."

He added: "Doing press junkets is actually a physically athletic event. In the past 11 days we flew to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, London, Madrid, Paris, London.

"You can't do that if you're not in great physical condition. I believe it's the beginning of finding happiness and the things that I desire in life.

"Plus when the ladies say, 'Wooh!' I like that a little bit."
