Holmes tops 'Most Stylish Star' poll

Katie Holmes has taken the top spot in a poll to find the 'Most Stylish Star of 2007'.

The actress beat Gwen Stefani into second place in the survey by America's version of OK! magazine.

The publication claimed that Holmes has developed a stylish image since her marriage to Tom Cruise last year, adding that she can now be regarded in the same class as fashion icon Jackie Onassis.

One writer said: "Katie Holmes has matured from teen queen into a pillar of fashion. This year her style was developed and fine-tuned so much so that she came to be viewed in the same realm as legends like Jackie O, helping her cruise beyond the shadow of her husband and into an iconic realm of her own."

Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl came third in the poll for her "natural and timeless beauty". Kate Moss and singer Rihanna completed the last two places in the top five.
