Spears' mum postpones parenting book

The release of a parenting book by Britney Spears' mother, Lynne, has been postponed after it was revealed that her daughter Jamie Lynn is pregnant.

The 16-year-old announced that she is expecting a baby with long-term boyfriend Casey Aldridge during an interview with OK! magazine on Tuesday. She revealed that she had only told her family last month after she took a home test and visited the doctor.

It has now emerged that Lynne's book, called Pop Culture Mum: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, has been put on the backburner, although it is not clear when the decision was made.

A spokeswoman for publisher Thomas Nelson told People: "The book is delayed indefinitely. It's delayed, not cancelled."

Jamie Lynn is planning to raise her child in her home state of Louisiana so that "it can have a normal family life".
