The US basketball star is seeking at least $40 million in damages from X17online.com, claiming that the site posted a series of "false and defamatory" stories about him.
"This is false. It never happened," the lawsuit said. "And X17 had to know that the story was false, or, at the very least, it had to have entertained serious doubts about the credibility of its supposed source."
Last week, the site posted a story which said that French model Alexandra Paressant had claimed to have had a two-month affair with Parker. According to Parker's lawsuit, the site's reporters did not contact his representatives before publishing the stories, nor did they post a retraction after being told that the claims were false.
