Our birthday celebs may be used to feeling a tad left out as their special days fall in Christmas week. The poor mites are probably still in therapy after receiving only one set of presents a year when they were growing up. Of course we're sympathetic to their plight here at DS and would love nothing more than to shower them with goodies to ease the pain. At least that was the plan. Unfortunately, our piggy bank is just about empty after six whole months of splashing out on ludicrously lavish gifts for our boys and girls. Readers, we're skint! It wasn't easy sticking to a budget of just 89p per star this week, but what could we do? Thank goodness it's the thought that counts.

DS' birthday present: We booked Ricky an appointment with a brand new 'skin care specialist' since he clearly can't trust his current one not to blab his secrets to the world.

DS' birthday present: Annie spends most of her time doing good deeds for charity these days, so we adopted an unwanted donkey from a sanctuary on her behalf. She'll even receive a certificate and cuddly toy for her kind gesture. Aww! Our hearts are full.

How many candles? The dentally-challenged singer is 50 on Christmas Day.
DS' birthday present: We're sure all Shane wants for Christmas is his two front teeth, but sadly we couldn't afford to shell out for a new set of crowns. So we bought him an electric toothbrush to help keep the few gnashers he has left in tip-top condition. Remember, round and round as well as up and down, Shane!

DS' birthday present: Sienna's treated herself to a £30,000 car for passing her driving test, so we just couldn't resist buying her a set of fluffy pink dice. If we're feeling particularly generous, we might throw in a nodding dog and a 'RHYS and SIENNA' banner to adorn her windscreen.
