Weekend entertainment news catch-up
Here's Digital Spy's quick-fix rundown of the weekend's top entertainment stories.

Saturday was Strictly Come Dancing's big day and the final saw Alesha Dixon and Matthew Cutler triumph, pipping Matt Di Angelo and Flavia Cacace to the post (more).

But could there be a consolation prize in store for Di Angelo? Persistent rumours suggest he may strike up a relationship with Dixon... or Cacace (more).

X Factor also managed to make headlines seven days after winding up for the year. Latest winner Leon Jackson got his expected Christmas number one single on Sunday while Leona Lewis, 2006 champ, led the festive album chart (more).

It was a less successful week for Victoria Beckham, though, who had frocks and shoes worth thousands of pounds stolen from a dressing room in Germany. A source said: "She was very upset. She keeps all her old outfits in storage" (more).

Finally, Michael Parkinson bowed out of television with a parting pot-shot at Jonathan Ross, Graham Norton and other young(er) pretenders. His retirement was "the end of polite conversation", he said. "Jonathan and Graham, they have their place... but don't tell me that it's a talk show" (more).
