Parker: 'I'm too old to be fashion icon'

Sarah Jessica Parker has claimed that she cannot still be considered a fashion icon now that she is older and a parent.

The Sex And The City star rose to fame with the clothing and shoe collection of her character Carrie Bradshaw.

She has now insisted that she has given up trying to look trendy, saying: "Often, I'll go to the market and women will say, 'Let me see your shoes'. And then I show them I'm wearing flip-flops. I say, 'I'm old now. I can't run around in heels when I go to the market for my son's yoghurt.'"
