Longoria competes over Christmas lights

Eva Longoria has admitted that she and her husband are in competition with their neighbours over Christmas lights.

The new couple stepped up their festive decorations after finding out that nearby residents in San Antonio, Texas had their homes lit by experts.

The actress said: "It is like beat the Joneses because our neighbours lit their house up, but had it professionally lit. It's not like they went and put up the Christmas lights.

"So Tony's like, 'Well I want lights,' so then we went and called the company and they came and put up our lights - and our lights aren't quite as bright, so we called the company back and we were like, 'Our lights aren't as bright as our neighbours'!'"

The Desperate Housewives star married basketball player Tony Parker in Paris in July.

Parker is currently suing a celebrity gossip website which published allegations that he cheated on Longoria with a French model.
