Schwimmer's mum wants him to settle down

David Schwimmer has revealed that his mother is desperate for him to find a girlfriend.

The former Friends actor has been linked to Natalie Imbruglia, S Club 7's Tina Barrett and Spanish actress Carla Alapont in the past, but admitted that he has yet to find his ideal match.

He told In Gear magazine: "My mother asks me every other week, 'Have you found a nice girlfriend?' Now I have started to ask myself the same question. I could have a wife and family by now.

"I haven't even come close to engagement. There was one point when I thought I was getting close with Carla, but again I had my priorities in the wrong place. I put work before my relationship, which I always seem to do."

He added: "I keep on saying to myself that I must put my relationship first. I feel like I am more than ready, then something else comes up. I am struggling to make a commitment."

Schwimmer recently claimed that he has never regretted starring in Friends because it gave him the "financial freedom" to pursue other projects.
