The X Factor judge, who is an animal rights activist, said he would rather leave his money to his pets than his family or girlfriend Terri Seymour.
He told the News of the World: "I'll probably leave the lot to the animals. There'll be some very rich poodles in Beverly Hills."
The 48-year-old added that he would have been unable to cope with being wealthy as a younger man, saying: "If I had made money when I was 21, I'd probably be dead by now. I wouldn't have made 22. I would have gone crazy."
