The actor, who is currently starring in musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, said Manilow and director Tim Burton were the only people he would be willing to sing for.
He told Envelope magazine: "I don't think I would have attempted this kind of project with anyone but a director like Tim Burton. But if there's a chance of doing a duet with Barry Manilow now, then I'm in!"
Depp recently revealed that he was initially wary of appearing in the movie because he feared his voice would not be up to scratch.
