The hip-hop star claimed that he spent long periods of his recent European tour playing the game with his crew, and that he even challenged Beyoncé Knowles to a tournament in Las Vegas.
West described Beyoncé as the "Connect Four champion" and admitted that he ended up losing to her nine times in a row.
Writing on his official website, West said: "When I was in Europe I would play this game for hours and hours - it helped me zone out.
"Everybody would get involved - Derrick Dudley [manager of hip-hop star Common] and Consequence were the best other than me.
"But every now and then people would speak of this legendary Connect Four champion - Beyoncé! I had to play her.
"So last night at Jay’s new 40/40 Club in Las Vegas she beat me nine times in a row."
