McCutcheon "very happy" with romance

Martine McCutcheon has revealed that she is thrilled with the success of her latest romance.

The actress, who has had failed relationships with Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall and actor Steve John Shepherd, has just returned from a holiday in the Caribbean with her new boyfriend Jack McManus, a singer/songwriter.

"I'm romantic to a point, but I'm a realistic romantic. I've got to believe in it enough to marry and have children," Martine told The Sun. "You've got to be right for each other. I believe that some men are right for you at the time, and that you learn a lot from each other.

"You realise maybe what you don't want from a relationship. It's practice for the real thing. We're all at school, still learning.

"Right now I'm dating someone and very happy, and that's all I will say. I've learned from the past not to talk about it any more or it's jinxed."

Martine's new show Echo Beach starts on ITV1 on Thursday at 9.30pm.
