Richie visits hypnotist to handle birth

Nicole Richie is seeing a hypnotist because she is terrified of having her baby, according to reports.

The Simple Life star wants advice on handling the pain when she gives birth to her first child with Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden later this month.

US columnist Janet Charlton said: "The therapist is helping Nicole to relax, stay calm and think positive thoughts as the big day approaches."

Nicole's father Lionel Richie recently revealed that she was carrying a boy.
