Barrowman hopes to start a family

John Barrowman has revealed that he wants to start a family with his partner Scott Gill.

The Doctor Who and Torchwood actor admitted that he is desperate for a baby of his own, but is also keen on adopting a child.

"I think I would be a good dad. Scott and I have an incredible amount to offer a child," John explained.

"The side of me that is selfish would also like to have a blood child," he continued. "If we were doing that, we'd have one and adopt one."

Barrowman also said that his autobiography will reveal the name of a celebrity friend who has offered to be a surrogate mother.

He promised: "You'll find out who this famous person is who would have the baby."
